We are currently hiring for a Facilities Technician at our Kansas City Plant – this position is responsible for maintaining the critical assets of the building including performing repairs on natural gas fired boilers, chillers, HVAC systems and oxidizers. The position we are for is working on our 3rd shift 10pm-6am. I have included the position description below. As a Facilities Engineer Technician you’ll be working to maintain critical assets in our Kansas City bakery. Are you a detail minded individual with a growth mindset ready to make an impact on our culture?

• Maintaining Critical Assets/Machinery in building maintenance – performing repairs on building equipment assets such as natural gas fired boilers, chillers, HVAC systems and oxidizers. Additionally, you will be executing preventative maintenance procedures on these systems to ensure 100% system functionality.

• Process Improvement – continuous improvement is engrained into our culture, so we know you’ll fit right in as you make recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will have daily responsibilities to ensure our waste water treatment equipment is functioning properly and to provide your technical expertise to improve all systems in the department.

• Teamwork – teamwork and collaboration is key as you will be assisting the central maintenance team on repairs and preventative maintenance procedures on key production assets.

• Attention to Detail – performing daily rounds on all building systems and as necessary making corrective repairs or process adjustments. Interaction with process control systems including monitoring and recording data points.


• High School Diploma/GED with substantial related work experience
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to follow and interpret electrical schematics. Some electrical experience with medium voltage devices such as electric motors and starters.
• Experience with SAP is HIGHLY desirable, other maintenance planning software experience is beneficial.
• Experience with building related systems such as: NG Boilers, Chillers, Refrigerant Systems, Centrifugal Pumps, Fire Suppression Systems, Cooling Tower Equipment, and Air Compressors.

• Experience in the Food & Beverage industry

• Heating & Refrigeration Certificate
